Veneers black at gum line?

I have veneers which were done by an experienced cosmetic dentist. I have ten veneers on my top teeth. All of the veneers look great but at the edge of one at the gum line it is black . The black part by the gum is not noticeable from afar. I do not think it is good to have a veneer like this since none of the other veneers look this way.The veneer looks like it is black underneath. I can see under the veneer if I use floss to move the gum out of the way. I was wondering is it likely I will have to remove the veneer and have it replaced?

Veneers black at gum line?
Hi! I've been in dentistry for over 25 years and for over 25 years and do a lot of veneers. This is not a common problem but can happen. What happens is the dentist shaves of the enamel so the veneer will sit down and look great. However, sometimes, if the margin and bonding are not perfect, bacteria can seep in and start to discolor or decay the exposed dentin underneath. You MUST get this checked and removed and replaced it necessary because if decay has set it, it will get worse. This no fault since so many were placed at once, the lab must get the margins right and sometimes they under shot this. The replacement should be free, the stain or decay can be removed and treated and a new veneer placed. Don't wait. If you have any other questions, please ask. Marie.
Reply:I'm about 100% sure you will have to have it replaced.
Reply:I have that same problem.

I'm glad I read this. Black gum lines looks gross.

Sounds good. Good going Doctor Marie.
Reply:You should be at your dentist right now, instead of yahoo answers! Good luck with that, I hope everything works out!
