Veneers end up being crowns? :(?

well he said the lab said he could do my top front 6 teeth with veneers. Boy were they wrong...


I went there today for the "try-in" or whatever hoping everything was going to be fine. First thing I had problems with today was that my temps were a %^$%^$@ to get out. I had them for a month and they werent coming out easily no way. He commented on how great those temps looked and how odd it was there were in my mouth so good without any type of cement.


Next thing after a while of getting the temps out. He tried in the veneers and was quickly disappointed and showed me in the mirror why. The veneers did not close the gap right in the 2 spots on my teeth that had huge gaps. One of the gaps was %26gt;3mm close to 4 I believe and the other side had one that was about 2mm I think.


He showed me in the mirror that they touched the gum but did not really go far enough over.

usually it takes 3 wks for vaneers to get back from the lab-PLEASE TELL ME you didnt go to a really new or an extremely old dentist!!!! Or a dentist that is very inexpensive. We do vaneers all of the time and have never had to go to a crown after prepping for a vaneer correctly- btw he used an electrosurge on your gums and did burn excess gum tissue - this is unusual for front teeth but not for back ones- we use cord dipped in hemodent to shrink back the gums to take the impressions btw again vaneer temps are a b%#$%26amp;* to get off sometimes!!!
