Will veneers fix my crooked teeth?

I originally was planning on saving up a bunch of money, and just getting implants for pretty much every single one of my teeth. Now I know, that would be hella expensive, and also time consuming. I was told that veneers would be a better choice. I was concerned, because I thought implants would circumvent the idea that I had to get braces before I got my teeth fixed, meaning, I've been told that I do not need braces before I get veneers put in. I don't understand how this is possible, can anyone explain? My teeth are not TERRIBLY crooked, but more so than I want them to be (2 teeth are noticbly out of line %26amp; I am missing one tooth on my left side - it was removed to make room for my other teeth after I got braces) Basically, I had too many teeth, and not enough room for all of them.

So what I want to know is - can I go to a dentist, and for a reasonable amount of money, have them create me some perfectly inline, straigh, white, top and bottom teeth, that can be put in in one day?

Will veneers fix my crooked teeth?
heres and article i found that might help you out a bit

Traditional Porcelain Veneers typically cost between $900 - $2,500. per tooth and require two or more visits one to two weeks apart. Veneers made of porcelain provide a greater longevity than plastic, typically ten years to fifteen years or more.

Composite Veneers cost significantly less, around $250 per tooth or more, but only last from five to seven years typically.

Lumineer Porcelain Veneers typically cost between $700. - $1,000. per tooth and also require just two visits. Lumineers are expected to last as long as traditional porcelain veneers.

Generally speaking, the price of tooth veneers and whitening increases with the number of in-office treatments required by the patient. Dental insurance does not typically cover the cost of the tooth veneers procedure. Cost will vary depending on your region, the skill level of your Cosmetic Dentist and the quality of the lab they use.
Reply:You can go to a dentist but it would not be done in one day and it would not be for a reasonable amount of money.

Also, veneers will not correct crooked teeth. They just make your teeth all look the same color.

In order to get your teeth straightened, you will either need to see a dentist or orthodontist about straigtening your teeth.

Good Luck.
Reply:Veneers are 800 to 1000 each. Understand this before you get started. And they can make your teeth look straighter because they shape the tooth under the veneer as much as they need to before they put on the veneer. If you have, say a space, they can make the veneer a little larger on each side to close the gap. The problem with that is that it can leave you looking like you have big Chiclet teeth. Also, they can only do so much because you can only shape a tooth to a certain extent, so you may not have perfect teeth after you have spent all that money. Also they have to be replaced every few years, so it would be a continuing expense.

And i dont know who told you that implants would be an idea, but you would have had to have ALL of the teeth you wanted replaced pulled. No honest dentist would do that if your teeth are healthy. That would be like cutting off your arm and getting a prosthetic one because you didn't like your fingernails!!

You would spend a lot less getting braces to fix your teeth. If you get veneers and your bite is not correct, you can break them and you would have to pay all over again. If you get the braces, not only will your teeth look straighter, but they would be more functionally correct.
