Will My Veneers feel more normal than these temporaries?

I need your advice! I just had 6 temporary veneers put on my teeth and I hate the way these things feel--sensitive, like they're going to fall off any second, bulky, and I can't floss!! Please tell me, honestly, do permanent veneers feel better? Will the permanent veneers feel more natural and normal?

Yes they will feel much better than the tempory ones hang in there. The permanent ones do feel more natural but maybe slightly wider than your orginal teeth. i have had my veneers on for 12 years now with no trouble at all.
Reply:yes the veneers will feel a lot better
Reply:Yes and I bet you feel like a dinner plate has been inserted in your mouth. It will bother you for a few days or so then it will feel normal.
Reply:Most definitely, the veneers will feel better, although it will take a little getting used to
Reply:the permanant veneers will feel much better
Reply:Oh yes, they will feel much better. When I make temporary veneers for a patient, I tend to splint them together, because they are sorta like fake fingernails, and are cemented with the equivilant of Elmers glue. Splinting them together does make it impossible to floss them, but it makes it less likely that they will fall off while we are waiting for the permanents. As far as them being bulky, since they are made of acrylic, they have to be thicker so that they don't break. If they were as thin as the permanants will be, they would end up chipping and breaking. But the permanants won't be that thick. The sensitivity is normal, because the temps dont fit as precise as the permanants will, and they probably aren't sealed around the edges very well. Again, the permanants wont be that bad.

Congratulations on your new veneers. I bet they will look great.
