Can I use a flex account to purchase veneers?

Okay I just opened a flex spending account through my company and I need some dental work done. So my question is this: Would my flex account approval veeners? I was told that my Dentist would have to submit a paper saying that it is needed but either way it has to be reviewed by the med boards for approval. One thing that is in my favor is that I was born witout two teeth and this is the reason that I am looking at veeners so it is not all about cosmetic. So has anyone used a flex account to purchase veneers?

I have friends who have flex accounts and they've had no problems using it for dental care recommended by their dentists.

Keep in mid, money in a flex spending account is exempt from federal, state and payroll taxes. Because you're using pretax dollars, the accounts can slash your out-of-pocket costs by a third or more.

It sounds like that you are a candidate for veneers, especially with your congenitally missing teeth.

Good luck!
