What are possible causes of pain associated with veneers?

I have had my veneers for about one year and one tooth in particular is sore but there are no signs of gum irritation.

What are possible causes of pain associated with veneers?
IT MAY BE A SMALL LEAK WHERE THE VENEER MEETS THE TOOTH..IF YOU GET PAIN WHEN HAVING COLD OR SWEET THINGS THEN THIS IS THE CAUSE..YOU MUST GO SEE A DENTIST

IF THE PAIN IS SPONTANEOUS THEN IT IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE ROOT CANAL OF THE TOOTH AND THIS IS EXACERBATED WITH HOT STUFF OR WHEN YOU SLEEP..YOU WILL NEED A ROOT CANAL..ALSO SEE A DENTIST
Reply:gum irritation is not necesary a sign of tooth ake. You need to get a professional to run some tests on you to find out what is the source of that pain. If the pain started when you got the veneer, then maybe its due to a high oclusion point. It can also be due to damage tissue that remains under the veneer. you need to tell your dentist when it hurts the most; when you lie down, mornings, nights, hot or cold drinks, etc.. I can give you a precise diagnostic on what is causing the pain, but you will still need to your doctor to get it fix.

Good luck!
