I have had this front tooth with a veneer on it come loose three times in the last four months. I cannot even bite food without being paranoid that this thing is going to come off. So what strarted off as a cosmetic enhancment has now become horrible. Should I get caps and will they look just as good? Help, I have a new cosmetic dentist but he is a 2 and 1/2 hour drive away and I cannot keep taking time off to get this fixed.
Veneers or caps for the front teeth?
since veneers didn't work for you, I'd go with the caps.
Reply:Hi Felina..this Can be a problem with veneers But shouldn't be.
I can honestly say that a properly fitted veneer shouldn't create this problem, and there's nothing worse than being aware of it the whole time, hoping it wont come off.
I should see about having that veneer replaced, at your original dentists expense, this shouldn't be happening.
A cap,or crown, can look fine but is expensive, and is a bigger job.
Let me know what your dentist says.

Reply:veneers can and do come off from time to time, however with today's advancements in all ceramic crowns you can get a crown that is both natural and pleasing to the eye. It may cost you a little extra but the results are fabulous
