How may i convince my parents to let me get veneers?

i do have braces, but my orthodonist messed up my two front teeth, and i am so unhappy with them. there's also a gap at the top or my two front teeth. i've been thinking about getting four veneers in the front. does anyone have the same problem?

How may i convince my parents to let me get veneers?
Don't do it !!!! They will look lame and fake in time... Just grow up and give it time.. Or do the braces again! it's never too late, I had them when i was 26 yrs old...
Reply:no, but i know they are very expensve

a lot of insurance companies don't cover veneers, because they are considered to be a cosmetic procedure
Reply:Most likely the reason they won't do it is because they just spent $4000.00 or more for the braces.....they cannot afford to spend another $5000.00 for veneers.

Get a job and pay for them yourself, then they have no say in the matter and you won't be a selfish brat the rest of your life.
Reply:They are not essential to your well being, get a job and pay for them yourself.
Reply:Please have your own teeth. They can be corrected just go and see a good dentist. To have veneers you will have to loos half of your teeth and your gums may also get discoloured.

Teeth play the most important part regarding the beauty. Fake teeth can be spotted from the distance as they don't have that sparkly shine as natural teeth. If you are going to have veneers then all of your life you will have to be careful with what you eat as this things may come of or brake.
Reply:if they are willing to do it, just ask them, if it is only the 2 front teeth why do you need 4 veneers

just to do two its going to cost about 2000 dollars. i have answered several questions and said that i do not like lumineers by cerinate, however this case would probably be a case where i would possibly recommend them, since you are so young. consult your dentist and inquire about them
Reply:It's always better to keep your teeth natural - veneers as a last resort.

You say you "have braces", can we assume the braces haven't come off yet? A gap between the two front teeth is not an acceptable result. Your orthodontist should be committed to finishing so that there is no gap.

Veneers are good for changing the shape or length of your teeth. Filling a gap is best done with movement, but if veneers are done, 4 or even 6 is best so that all the front teeth match and good proportion is maintained.

Most dentists would prefer not to remove healthy tooth structure on a teen. It is possible to cause problems which result in a root canal. Do you really want that?
Reply:If your orthodontic treatment is not yet over, you can always discuss your esthetic concerns with your dentist. He/She will have the best solution for the teeth you feel 'messed up'. Since teeth veneers fall in cosmetic category, is the reason that insurance does not cover/reimburse. This is an avoidable expense which should or must be put off. It is equally important for you to grow up and understand this aspect. Your parents will not delay if at all you needed root canal treatment and crowns; if need be, they will beg and borrow for your healthy smile. If you do not allow space to your parents you cannot expect to be a good parent yourself.
