People who have veneers?

when you got your temporaries..did they look anything like your actual veneers...the reason i am asking is because im freaking out about how ugly i think my temps are...they are huge..my mouth is sticking out..and they are fat and bulky...will the veneers be the same thickness or are they much thinner? help me please

Reply:Porcelain veneers are really thin but durable. Depending on the dentist, the temps may be somewhat of a replica of your veneers. This doesn't sound like it though.





I would go back to your dentist and ask them to recontour your temps to an ideal shape that you can live with until your veneers are ready.





Also, the day you have your veneers placed, make sure you get a sneak peak before they bond them in. Make sure you like them, becuase if you don't you'll have to repeat the whole process. They don't just pop off.
