Question about Composite veneers?

Hi

I am considering getting veneers, but they're really expensive. I heard you can get them made of resin plastic and that they are cheaper, like $250 per tooth. I am interested in them, but I was hoping I could get some feedback and or opinions on them.

Thank you

Also.. can you get them on your bottom teeth too?

Thanks

Question about Composite veneers?
I know that porcelain veneers can be put on top and bottom teeth. All that I could find on the Resin Veneers is that they are used on top of stainless steel caps for children, but there was no real help other than that they are less expensive. I'd call your dentist's office and ask them if the dentist used them and why or why not.

Good luck!
Reply:Ceramic veneers are much better, they are stronger and look more natural but as you said, they are a lot more expensive.

We have placed Composite veneers on patients at our practice, not very often though. They work fine, look good at the time. However they tend to stain around the margins after a while and arent as strong.

You can place veneers on your bottom teeth but as they are smaller, they are less successful and as most people dont show their bottom teeth when they smile, its not really worth it.

Good luck!
Reply:Not as nice.

Porcelain is closest to looking like enamel.

Composite veneers are hard for many dentists to do.

They loose their luster over time and will need polishing again.

My recommendation: don't do them. save up for porcelain veneers or get a payment plan.

keep smiling,
