Crowns vs Veneers?

Im not sure what's better...crowns or veneers. I have a cousin that has really bad teeth and was wanting to help her find out what would be best for her situation (see photo)...

I know that veneers only cover the top of the tooth, so since hers are so crooked, would it be better just to get crowns?

The only worry i have with crowns is that due to the grinding, many people experience prolonged sensitivity, and i wouldnt want to point her in that direction if that's a common (and undesirable) outcome.

Please help with any info.

Crowns vs Veneers?
The sensitivity from crowns tends to come from the fact that so much of the natural tooth is shaved to fit the Porcelain jacket. Yes you are right it can be prolonged but does tend to lessen considerably as the weeks go on.

Veneers are fine for minor defects such as chips, discoloration , and small gaps. Crowns for major defects, alignment issues, large gaps etc.

An appointment with your cosmetic dentist will steer her right.
