Im going to be trying out for a professional cheerleading squad soon and having braces would really lower my chances of ever getting in. I would like my braces removed early but i know my teeth probably wont stay in the position. Would veneers be a good choice for me?
Taking off braces for Veneers??
If you can afford to take them off early and get a different alternative then sure but Veneers are extremely expensive and in a lot of cases need to be replaced at least once throughout your lifetime which will be pricey. You could also ask your orthodontist if you could switch to ceramic/clear braces. They are barely noticeable from a distance and are practically invisible in pictures. Switching will cost the same price as if you never had braces before though. Talk to your orthodontist about alternatives.
Also, braces are socially acceptable and I doubt you will be jeopardized from the squad just for having braces.
